Corona Arch

For the rest of Tyson's Christmas break, Donny & I decided to visit him and his family in Boulder Colorado for a week or so. So we caught a ride with them again. On the way there, we decided to rapel off Corona Arch in Moab, UT. Here is a picture of Donny and I hiking into the arch. It was only a mile and a half hike. ***I love love love southern Utah***
Here is the steapest part (and there are footholes carved out of the rock for you) and there is also a small ladder to help you.
Here are the two Hazards, to the truest sense of the word:
The hike in was breathtaking. Here we are hiking in. I love this picture and how it shows just our silouettes.
The directions we found on how to do it were a little confusing, so Donny and Ty started rock climbing up the arch. (Here's the view from the side):
Here they are climbing up the arch. You can see Donny higher up and Tyson near the bottom. Can you see them? The directions said that you will find something to clip into not far up, but after both Ty and Donny went up the rock looking for it, they figured it was the wrong way up. Donny says downclimbing this part was scarier than rapelling off the arch. Ends up you climb up on the sandstone behind the arch and come on top from the left side.
Can you see them climbing the arch?
The final product! Can you see Donny on top? Tyson rapelling?
