My husband has been gone for 2 and a half weeks and that means it's all up to me. Last week, I woke up in the middle of the night in a panic wondering how I was going to pull it all off. I work on the business day in and day out from when I wake up to when I put my head on the pillow and apparently still think about it when my head is on the pillow! ;). An 8-5 job is looking pretty fine . . .
Last week the grandpa came to help out with the shuttle. He drove to the put-in, to the take out, to the put-in, to the take-out and helped us pump up the boats. Afterwards, grandma said, he came home laid on the floor with his arms outstretched in the sitting room he was so exhausted. When he finally got enough energy, he went and took a shower. He said to grandma, "I don't know how Alyssa does it. I'm exhausted and all I did was drive the shuttle . . . you should have seen Alyssa she was all over the place and guided . . . I don't know how she does it!"
That made me feel better, no wonder I'm always so exhausted!
Counting down the days til winter . . .
